I first met Andy whilst a Governor at Loughton School and he struck me as someone hugely dynamic and passionate about teaching, learning and school leadership.  I later got to know Andy much better, working together on Denbigh's Governing Board, school strategy and other activities, where his vision, humanity and drive shone through brightly. 

Andy is a massive, tragic loss not only to his family, but to Denbigh, the MAT and the wider community.  We have lost a man with such wisdom, experience and vision.

Rest in Peace Andy.
