I was fortunate to know Andy as a fellow senior leader in an MK school and had huge respect for his vision and tenacity in ensuring great opportunities for young people. I benefited on many occasions from his friendship and was also privileged to know him as a father, as his children attended the school where I was Deputy Head. My thoughts therefore go very much to Andy's family at this sad time.
